Our Story
A Lifelong Passion For Visuals
Amar Singh—also known fondly as Amar Sarpanch—has been captivated by the power of photography since his childhood. Whether experimenting with a family camera or capturing local festivities, his curiosity for light, emotion, and storytelling started early and never waned.
From Apprenticeship To Professional Growth
Amar’s early career featured a meaningful collaboration with Jarnail Singh, the owner of Virasat Films. This experience deepened his understanding of production dynamics and narrative flow, sharpening Amar’s technical skills and creative instincts.
Breaking Into Punjabi Cinema
In a significant milestone, Amar worked in production on the hit Punjabi film Chal Mera Putt, released in July 2019, earning a “Special Thanks” credit working under Virasat Films. His contributions continued with Chal Mera Putt 2 (2020), where his brand Sarpanch Films appeared among the film’s production partners.
Cameo On Screen, Growth Behind The Lens
By the time Chal Mera Putt 3 premiered in October 2021 (with Jarnail Singh as executive producer), Amar had not only helped produce but also stepped in front of the camera for a brief on-screen role—showcasing his versatility and deepening his connection to the craft.
Expanding His Production Expertise
Amar’s creativity wasn’t limited to films. He became a sought-after producer and line-producer for Punjabi music videos, notably the popular song “Chalan Tere Naal” by Simar Sethi—handling logistics, coordination, and visual production to bring music stories to life.
Evolution Into Virasat Studios
Following his valuable experiences in film and music production, Amar rebranded Sarpanch Films into Virasat Studios. Today, he leads this creative powerhouse to capture weddings, events, portfolios—and beyond—blending technical expertise with heartfelt storytelling in both photography and cinematography.
